As the Data Science Team Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing data science projects, mentoring team members, and building data products.

You will own the data science solutions in the company, and be responsible for the creation of value to our customers using the company data, and manage the creation and maintenance of our DWH, as well as other real-time solutions. Most of your work will be with Product and Marketing analysts, to understand business requirements and translate them into data pipelines and processes.

As the Data Science Team Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing data science projects, mentoring team members, and building data products.

Most of your work will be with Product and Marketing analysts, to understand business requirements and translate them into data pipelines and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the data science team, including recruiting, mentoring, and developing team members.
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of data science solutions, particularly in the areas of product recommendations and LLMs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, analytics, marketing, engineering) to identify and solve complex business problems using data-driven approaches.
- Ensure the quality, scalability, and performance of data science models and algorithms.
- Drive the adoption of best practices in data science, including code quality, testing, and documentation.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in data science and AI to drive innovation within the team.
- Align data science initiatives with business goals and ensure they provide measurable value.
Requirements:
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to translate business problems into data science solutions.
- 5+ years of experience in data science, with a focus on B2C, e-commerce or related industries.
- Strong communication skills generally, and in English specifically, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven experience leading and managing data science teams.
- Strong technical skills in Python, SQL, and data science libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow).
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
- Experience with machine learning, statistical modeling, Bayesian inference.
- Experience with GCP is a plus.
