Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise in data engineering and a strong ability to design and implement scalable data solutions. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a critical role in developing and maintaining our data infrastructure and pipelines, ensuring data is accessible, reliable, and optimized for various business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines and architectures to support data-driven decision-making across the organization.
- Collaborate with data scientists, data analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
- Optimize and tune data pipelines for performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Implement and enforce best practices in data engineering, including code quality, testing, documentation, and data governance.
- Ensure data quality and integrity through the implementation of data validation and monitoring processes.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in data engineering and big data technologies to drive continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on B2C, e-commerce, or related industries.
- Strong technical skills in Python, SQL, and data engineering tools and frameworks (e.g., Apache Spark, Kafka, Airflow).
- Experience with cloud platforms (GCP) and big data technologies.
- Knowledge of data warehousing solutions (e.g., BigQuery, Redshift, Snowflake) and ETL processes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to translate business requirements into scalable data engineering solutions.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with data modeling, data architecture, and designing data lakes and data warehouses.
- Familiarity with data governance practices and data security principles.
